The Vehicle we use is a land rover 90 first registered in  1984 with  a 2.5 Turbo diesel engine. The car itself has had a few modifications the most noticeable

being a 2” suspension lift and larger off road tyres fitted. The other modifications

include steering guards, poly bush kit and a bumper mounted superwinch husky  winch.

With the additions of the recovery gear the vehicle also carries a fire extinguisher,

first aid kit and camping  kit.

The land rover is also fitted with strobes and beacon  lights for use while Marshalling

along  with  a hands free mobile phone kit, citizen band radio and HF/VHF/UHF amateur

(ham)radio communications system. The vehicle also carries a GPS system although

this is not used during competition and a GSM/3G enabled laptop computer
